Want to send a package to
yourself or another PCV?
Package Tips –
Make sure PCVs get the stuff they want!
- Write “via Istanbul” on the package to send it through Turkey. Otherwise, the package goes through Moscow. There is no statistical data on which route is safer, but when in doubt, I go with the NATO member.
- Don’t be afraid to gross out the postal couriers. Wrap valuable items in feminine tissues.
- If you really need to get something to your Volunteer, the expensive Global Express works well.
Content suggestions:
- long underwear
- good socks
- card games
- books
- peanut butter
- duct tape
- good markers (Sharpies, Crayola, Mr. Sketch)
- lots of small souvenirs from your home town/state.
